Well-baby visits November 21, 2008

I’m thinking these are not so useful. First of all, they don’t really tell you anything, and they really spend most of the time asking leading questions. (They being the pediatricians.) Things like “so she’s holding her head up now, right”, or “I’m assuming she’s nursing well”, or “no problems with spitting up?” etc. Kinda doesn’t inspire me to tell the truth. Actually, one time I just said “uh-huh” to some question when that was totally not true! Second of all, I have yet to find a pedi that actually answers my questions satisfactorily, in a way that tells me something that will help me solve the problem. Pretty much, I’m tempted to just skip the visits and read textbooks and troll the internet, that would be more useful. But, I do know that they check things like ears/nose/eyes/reflexes, etc., and give vaccinations, so that is important. Sooo, I guess I’ll keep taking the munchkins and just plug my nose! *sigh!
