The week of many changes May 9, 2009

This has been a busy week for our little family. Aside from the usual daily errands and mayhem that is our household, our progeny have made some big leaps. DS said his entire memory verse tonight, and it was a LONG one, too! “Daniel went to his room three times a day to pray.” I’d been practicing with him . . . I’d say the first two words, then he’d say the next few, and so on. We did this every day this week and tonight during worship, he said the whole verse!! Woohoo. He has also been saying complete and grammatically correct sentences. Yesterday, he and DH were going to go out for a walk, and as always, his shoes were AWOL. I hear him running down the hall saying, “go ask mommy, go ask mommy!” He then tears into my sewing area and says, “Mommy, where’s bee-ba’s shoes?” Funny little guy!
DD has also had a busy week . . . she learned how to crawl . . well, if that’s what you call her ambulation. She is very happy to have learned this skill, there is soooo much more to discover, now. Heretofore, I didn’t think she was all that independent, always wanting me around and having a cow if I left the room, if even for a second. Now that she can move from point A to point B, she plays happily by herself and talks to herself ALL the time. Pretty funny!
My big change this week was in my schedule. I had been doing the grocery shopping on Friday mornings, (which was always so dramatic) and the laundry on Sunday (which took all day since I work half the day on Sunday, and that would result in it taking DH half of the week to get the laundry put away.) So I’ve decided to do laundry on Thursdays (Friday would just be pushing it into sundown) and I’ll go grocery shopping on Sundays on my way home from work. We’ll see how that works, but I have high hopes.
I’m also in the process of rearranging my office/sewing area . . .more details in another post.
All in all, not a bad week for our little family=)
