The anti-pink campaign March 22, 2010

It’s no big secret that pink is not exactly my friend. . . I don’t do pink. (Ironically, the link shows up pink . .Ha!) Now that I have a daughter, it’s become more and more tricky to keep this up. I’m always getting things from friends or from Freecycle that are, yep, you guessed it, PINK!!! Not to worry, I’ve found a great little tool . . . . . RIT dye, it works wonders.
Last week I went on a dyeing spree, dyeing a few maternity shirts and some things for DD.
A few before and after pics for you.
The shirt on the left wasn’t too bad, but I just threw it in with the red dye bath anyway.

This little sundress was so cute, especially with all of the embroidery. Alas, it was pink . . ick

Finally, a pink, flowery maternity shirt, and a super cute Dora jacket. These got dumped in a deep purple dye bath.

I don’t LOVE how the maternity shirt turned out, but it’s better than the pink. The Dora jacket, on the other hand, super super cute! And I’m cracking up at Dora’s race change . . she’s now purpleish-black! HA!
haha love the Dora… and the afters are so much better
I think they look really good!
Have a great day!
