Blessed August 11, 2010

As I sat burping DS2 after a middle of the night nursing session, his little head tucked into my neck, I thought “how sweet is this!” Then I got to thinking about how DD likes to be held and how DH is melted every time she holds onto him tightly. This made me think, “wow, we are blessed!”
Yes, the toddlers are totally crazy. DS bit DD yesterday, even left teeth marks! They are always wailing on each other, kicking, smacking, pulling hair (this is DD’s newest trick), etc. More often than not, though, they crack each other up, having the silliest conversations and giggling uncontrollably.
Yes, DS is REALLY trying our patience with his “terrible three’s” behavior. (Forget the two, the threes is the REAL challenge!!)
Yes, DD is just a challenge, all the way around. Shes the tantrumer . . . as in, all out, full blown, “throw yourself on the floor, kick and scream till your veins pop out of your head” trantrums
Yes, DS2 eats ALL. THE. TIME. Well, let me amend. . .. when he isn’t sleeping or pooping, he’s eating . . .but that’s the life of a newborn, right?
Despite all of this, we are still blessed.
Blessed to have such beautiful little humans.
Blessed to have toddlers who know Jesus and who clearly love Him and love to sing songs and read stories about Him.
Blessed to have an infant that is so mellow.
Blessed to have a little girl who is so very, very sweet and loving.
Blessed to have a little boy who is such a helper with his other siblings and who loves to snuggle.
Blessed to have toddlers that love each other and that play together and have such creative little minds.
Yes, I’d say we are truly, truly, blessed.
Love this post! They say that “Motherhood is the hardest job you will ever love” 🙂
Enjoy your 3 little blessings…
All the best! Hugs…
Thanks, Heidi! Whoever “they” is sure is right about motherhood! Clearly, I love it, otherwise I wouldn’t have three little blessings=)
