So much work! March 25, 2011

We’ve been ensconced in moving mayhem for the past 3 or so weeks.  During that time, I’ve had so many crazy experiences and I’ve thought, “Oh, I need to blog about this!”.   So, now that we are mostly settled and I have a wee bit more time, I’m going to aim to do a post a day, sharing all sorts of silly and crazy tales.

The house we lived in was not exactly my favorite place that I’ve ever lived.  In fact, it’s probably safe to say that it’s pretty close to the bottom.  Take a gander here for a little refresher as to why.  Part of the packing process involved removing all of the niceties that we had added.  Things like shelving, switchplates, light fixtures, paint, rugs, towel bars, etc.  As we were removing them, I was struck by how much work we had done to get the house to be comfortable for us.  With each item that we removed, I was reminded more and more of the feelings I had when we first moved into the house.  Funny how I had totally forgotten how barren and plain the house was.  I’d like to think that we left it in better shape then when we first moved in, but given my “love” for the house, I can’t say that I’m really objective=)  In any case, I am quite happy to no longer be residing there!
