I decided to combine two weeks since last week was slim pickings as far as Pinterest was concerned. It should come as no surprise that almost everything I tried was food. I really DO have other things pinned, I just never seem to get around to trying them!

Here’s my one non-food item.

Felt baby shoes

I made a pair of these for a friend’s little guy. They were a sky blue and I used a slightly darker thread. They were pretty easy to make, but I don’t think mine turned out very well. There was a funny wrinkling along the edge from pulling the thread tautish, you know, to keep the shoe together. Maybe they just looked cuter from afar, I don’t know, I just wasn’t jumping up and down with glee at how these turned out.

This was really quite good, not at all healthy, but good. My review is here.

Cinnamon bun bread

I’ve actually removed this pin from my Pinterest, but you can read my review here.

Well, I guess I should have reviewed this when I made it last week, because I honestly can’t remember anything about how it turned out. I know I used some other cheese, probably fontina or something. But I have zero recollection of how it tasted, whether or not liked it or if anyone else liked it. Crazy! Eh? Try it and let me know what you thought!

Delicious and easy! The babes LOVED these and they disappeared in a flash. We’ll definitely be making these again.

Herb crusted sweet potatoes

Another winner recipe, here. The toddler, who eats pretty much nothing, gobbled these right up. There’s so much variability in this recipe. You can change up the herbs you use and get a different and equally delicious result. They are easy to make, delicious and healthy. That’s a win in my book!

Lasagna cups

The presentation of this version of lasagna is really lovely. If you were having a dinner party or some special occasion, these would be a great addition. They are pretty labor intensive, so I don’t see these being very practical for everyday meals. They are also pretty messy to eat. Once you cut them, they sort of fall apart all over the place. But, they look lovely, and the addition of cream cheese for the filling was really delicious. I’ll be keeping this recipe around.

Blended strawberry milk

I’ve been making these for the kids for the past few days, and they love them. All three kids, even the picky toddler . . .they love them. I’ve been changing things up and using other fruits. Their favorite combo is crushed pineapple, banana and coconut extract. The whipped cream and sprinkles are a nice touch, but the kids seem to do just fine without them.

Tomato basil parmesan soup

This soup was better the 2nd and 3rd day, but it was still quite good the 1st day. Here’s my full review.
