Well THAT’s never happened before!

If you’ve ever seen NOR and I, you’ve probably said something like, “wow, he looks just like mommy!” or “there’s no Robertson in him at all!”, etc. We don’t think NOR looks like either of us, but he does have some of our characteristics. So yesterday, I was at someones house picking up some things from Freecycle. The lady asks what his name is and then says, “Is he adopted?” Huh, what!?!?!?! First of all, why the HECK would you ask anyone that question, like it even matters! Second of all, huh, what?!?!? That was a new one!

Then, we were at Target waiting to use the baby changing table. There was a boy who was maybe 2 and a girl changing him. I figured she was the big sister or baby sitter or something, she just didn’t really behave like someone who had had lots of experience changing diapers, at least not two year worth of experience. Then the boy says, “mommy!” and I thought, “oh, teenage mom, that’s not what I was expecting.” Just as I was thinking that, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and realized that I still look 16, and she must be thinking the same thing about me! Kind of a weird experience!

So two “well THAT’s never happened before!” experiences in one day! Busy day!
